Our Leadership Community
The leadership at Liberty Christian Church are not happy to just do church as it has been.
We are committed to know God and to make Him known. It is not enough just to know about Him. We are committed to being Holy Spirit filled, led and empowered and we are committed to demonstrating the gospel, not just talking about it.
In all we do we seek to have meaningful relationships where we bring strength to one another and where, in everything we do we will keep our love on. We are committed to creating a safe place, a place where freedom reigns and where the whole body is empowered to bring light to the darkness as they come to an undertstanding of who they are in Christ and the authority that Christ has given them.
Trent and Sue Hodson -Senior Leaders of Liberty Christian Church
Trent and his wife Sue have 4 very special grown children, along with a wonderful son-in-law and two beautiful daughters-in-law. They are grandparents to two grandsons. Prior to coming into ministry Trent was a pharmacist, but he left this profession, selling their business in 2001.Sue is also on staff at Liberty working alongside Trent as Executive Pastor.
Both Trent and Sue have a strong desire to see the church be all God has called her to be; connected to God's heart and receiving everything that Christ has accomplished for us on the Cross. Their heart is to grow a community of believing believers who walk in freedom, love and victory, who understand their identity and who are empowered to display the raw power of our amazing God, so that the kingdom of God is outworked and demonstrated in our local area, Auckland, Aotearoa and beyond. At the heart of their ministry is Romans 8:19 "For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children - sons and daughters - of God to be revealed."
They also have a heart to add their strength to other pastors and to support other churches to raise up to do the work of the kingdom.
Trent and Sue's main influencers in their ministry have been John Wimber, Bill Johnson and Danny Silk. They have also been grateful for input from Randy Clark (and team), Graham Cook, Bob Hazlett and others of Bethel Church, Redding, California.
