Trent's weekly muse - 3rd Feb - Limitless Possibilities
Thought for the week:
Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think,
according to the power that works within us
Eph 3:20
One of the areas that God has fingered for me this year is the whole creative area of life. It was interesting that Ron Flores spoke about how when he is back in NZ the creative juices really flow. He encouraged us take hold that. I believe we will see a “coming into their own” of the arts this year, not only within Liberty but within the wider church.
Last night we had a great prayer meeting. At one point I felt that we need to pray for the creative ministries in Liberty. There were a number of our artists there and we gathered around them and prayed and prophesised over them. It was a lot of fun.
In the led up to this I asked God “Why the arts?” Now I am completely committed to seeing this area of life explode in the church – it has been long neglected and needs to be restored but I really felt the prompting of the Holy Spirit for me to ask this question.
I love the answer I got back “because the arts represent Limitless Possibilities and that is exactly what you have when you live your life in Me”. See if you give 4 tubes of different paints to three of our artists and send them off to create, they will all come back with something totally different. Those paints represent Limitless possibilities.
And that is what God sees you – in a sense, you are His canvas and He wants to take each one of us and create something extraordinary and unique.
How do we position ourselves for this. I believe that it is important for us to live with a growing conviction that the Lord is delighted to pour out with extravagant delight the certainty of His affection towards us. It’s so important that you absolutely know that you are the beloved of God, and that God is incredibly biased towards you. He favours you and he lifts up the light of His countenance upon you. He beams in your direction. You have His heart, you have His favour, and you need to learn to be confident in that, hugely confident in that. This attitude means that we will continue to be in that place where God can paint his beautiful masterpiece… YOU
Grace and Peace
